Intrigued, I looked it up. Since it is intended as a children's toy it is hardly likely to be toxic! This is from its manufacturer's web-site (Hasbro):

Then just make alot of lines and every now and then break a line and continue the orijonal path to make a 2 way desition. Make one of them go to another 2 way desition and make the other one hit the dead end. Keep at this until there is no more room left on the paper and continue your maze to the finish

Well from analysing the board game for a graphics lesson, the material that is used on the back of the board, is a material called bookcloth. Then the board itself could be a thin grey board. Im not too sure on what the graphics are made out of. The cards will be white card that have been printed on using a lithography or gravure process and varnished, or UV varnished.
