Yes any motor over about 250cc can be turbocharged.

A turbocharger is usually found in race cars and automobiles that have a diesel engine. The point of a turbocharger is to give said automobile a significant amount of extra power to the engine's horsepower.

the best way to make sure your diesel starts in extreme cold is purchase a engine block heater unit. there are varietys the best i like are the ones that replace a freeze plug with a heater element. you rig a extension cord through your grill and plug it in to a normal 110 volt receptical starts right up any temp make sure your fuel is winterized or it will gel up. once running some people block flow of air to radiator( cold days only)

a variety of things can cause any car to lose power, including age, if the car is correctly serviced, oil filter/air filter/fuel filter needing replacement, oil needing to be changed, or just an engine problem. in your case it could be a problem with the CVVT.

You would have to buy a whole turbocharger system. I am uncertain if a kit is even made for the Altima 2.5. If the Altima 2.5 is a manual, then the transmission is quite capable of handling up to 300whp. The Altima 2.5 shares transmissions and engines with the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V which has the QR25DE.If you meant the Altima 3.5 with the VQ35DE, then I do believe there are turbocharger kits available.

In short, no. There are a few people that have custom built supercharger kits for the 300ZX, using both roots- and centrifugal-type superchargers. But no ready-made kits are available, as far as I know. And I been looking. The general consensus is that supercharging the VG30DE is a waste of time, and that turbos are far superior.

The only kits I have seen were for the 4.3L S10. The never made a complete system for the Full Size 4.3L. Basically Vortech and PowerDyne both made the system, but Vortech discontinued the system and PowerDyne went out of business.

It all depends on how much the d16 engine is modified, what shape its in, the turbo size, boost levels, and various bolt-ons that are used. They can range from 150 whp to 300+ whp if built. My stock D16Y8 with a T3 turbo on 8 psi made 190 whp.

Although he is correct - the range depends on the engines initial horsepower. there fore i would say ( DEPENDING ON WHAT HORSE POWER YOU STARTED WITH AND WHAT TURBO YOU ARE USING) you could see a horse power increas from 120hp-500hp.

Build your internals if you are trying to go above 250hp. TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE!!!! you could have the best parts in the entire world and with out a good tune your motor will blow up - PERIOD!

The Razz unfortunately doesn't offer much in the performance modification department. You can however get a 70cc kit from an early model Zuma to work but you need all the intake parts from said Zuma. With a Zuma big bore kit you will need a larger carburetor and either a Zuma factory exhaust or an aftermarket exhaust. Some modification to the exhaust may be needed. The easiest thing to do to add a little more top end speed is to put slightly bigger tires on your scooter. Stock size is 2.5 x 10, you would want 3.0 x 10.

That depends on what you are wanting. A turbo is more efficient but has a delay (lag) on accel. A supercharger does not have any delay, but is not as efficient.

The main issue in the installation is the wiring. Three of them must be hooked into the ignition switch. To access the wiring you must remove the 2 lower panels underneath the driver side dash. Reaching your right hand up approximately behind the ignition switch, you'll grab hold of a bundle of wires (and also grab hold of the most slimy substance known to man -tape residue-) If you trace the bundle back to the switch, you'll feel a large round connector, about 2 inches in diameter. There are no clips holding it on, so you can wiggle it off. This allows you to see all the wires and attach the taps with ease. A word of warning! DO NOT take the connector apart. I did so in order to trace the pins (you just see a mess of wires coming out of the plug with no real order to them) Unfortunately, the pins inside are held on by the cap. Assuming you are stupid and attempt disassembly, wires will spring out, leaving you to figure out their proper place. Upon reassembly, you will then find that simply inserting your key into the ignition will cause your car to start :freak: Naturally, this would only happen if you were silly. On to the wiring. There are 4 main wires that require hook up from the unit.

1.) Red - Constant 12v

This wire hooks to the beefy red wire coming out of the switch. There are actually 2, and I found it didn't matter which one you chose, both are constant 12v

2.) Blue - Accessory Wire (Becomes active when switch is in #2 position)

This is a beefy black wire, only one coming out.

3.) Green - On Wire (Switch in # 3 position)

Blue wire with red stripe.

4.) Black - Ground

Since I put my controller in the center console next to the lighter, I mounted it to a metal post inside.

Place your ignition switch back on, and then route your wires to wherever your unit will be (up and to the right is a pass-through to the center console).

Additionally, there are 2 safety wires, a brown one for the parking brake signal, and a purple one for the speed signal. These keep the car from being driven away while the TT is still running.

5.) Brown - Parking Brake Safety Wire

Unscrew the 2 torx screws holding the tray underneath the brake lever. Detach the clip at the front holding the tray to the front console (right in front of the fuse box) You can now lift out the tray and you will find a brown wire running from the parking brake safety switch. Tap into this wire with the brown wire from the TT.

Probably. Most regular gas has an octane rating of about 87. This adequate for an American V-8 engine, but not for a high performance engine. Prior to the introduction of unleaded gas, Regular was usually about 92 octane, and Supreme was between 95 and 98 octane. To get what used to be Regular gas, you have to buy Supreme now. I disagree. The answer is yes or no, depending upon whether Subaru uses a knock sensor on this engine. The knock sensor will modify the timing of the ignition to adjust for regular gas. You would then lose a little horsepower and mileage in exchange for the ability to use the cheaper gas. You can research this, or find an old school mechanic who can hear pinging or preignition, put a gallon of regular into your WRX empty gas tank. If it pings, fill the tank with premium and don't use regular, if it doesn't ping, use whatever gas gives you the price - mileage - performance compromise you want. You can mix portions of tankfuls and the knock sensor will provide an intermediate timing solution.

Theoretically turbochargers were invented by Sanford Moss of General Electric in l9l0 ( for aircraft use). The older type of gear or belt driven supercharger was used on the l907 Chadwick automobile, said to be the first stock car to be capable of l00 Miles per Hour on the street, apart from purpose-built racing cars.

sure.first you want to rebuild the engine.then you need to lower the compression by adding a spacer on the cylinder head.then you need to completely rebuild the transmission to take the extra power.by the time you spend 25000 to do this and modify the unibody,the suspension and braking system,it is cheaper to buy a good used stealth turbo.
