No yolk sac or fetal pole in 7weeks of pregnancy via ultrasound?
According to LMP, should be 7 weeks and 1 day. Transvaginal ultrasound today indicated that I was only 5 weeks 4 days. The gestational sac was very clear on the screen but there was no yolk sac. If the technician measured correctly then 5 weeks 4 days Is just about the time you would start to see a yolk sac. I have to go back in 10 days for another ultrasound but it seems soooooo far away. The only symptoms I've had has been breast tenderness, minimal fatigue. I've had no nausea, no bleeding, mild cramping. Does anyone have any encouraging words? The suspense is hard to deal with.
What kind of abdominal masses can be located by abdominal ultrasound?
Abnormal growths--tumors, cysts, abscesses, scar tissue, and accessory organs--can be located and tentatively identified with ultrasound. In particular, potentially malignant solid tumors can be distinguished from benign fluid-filled cysts
Only seen the sac in ultrasound I am 11week's?
In March I was 10 weeks pregnant and was spotting very lightly. I went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound. They told me that at 10 weeks they should be able to at least see the heart beating even though it might be too soon to see the baby. When they did the ultrasound all they saw was the sac. There was no heartbeat. I had a full miscarriage a few days later. It was determined by blood tests that I had miscarried about five weeks prior and was just now discharging the fetus. I pray that this is not the situation for you, and you have a healthy baby!
What are the advantages and disadvantages of ultrasound?
you get to see your baby and know that it is ok, but iff its not you get to see your dead baby this is a disadvantage to ultrasounds, kaynat
Hi
Don't know if this will help, I had a +ve test at 4weeks 2 days but negative at hospital and nothing showed up on scan, +ve hospital test 2 days later and now 20 weeks pregnant. I was told that under 5 weeks it is very hard to see a definite pregnancy especially if they don't use a vaginal scan
Yes it can be off, they usually are within about 2 weeks of the due date, it is just a round about date that they give, but usually they just tell you when they think the baby is processing too. So maybe when they do the one at 20 weeks, they will let ya know if it has changed....Good Luck Darlin!! :)
To elaborate on the previous response a little more...when the doctor or technician tells you that you are 14 weeks, the fetus is actually around 12, if they tell you that you are 12 weeks, 3 days pregnant, then the fetus is 10 weeks, 3 days. It is too difficult to determine the actual date of conception based on the first day of your last period so they typically round up 2 weeks to make it even...it's sort of goofy but based on your question I'd say your second U/S was showing you only 4 days different from your first...I imagine your U/S was giving a fetal age of 14 weeks and the LMP was more of the 2 weeks different date around 16 weeks...only it was 4 days different...make sense? :) Best of luck!
Can anything be detected by vaginal ultrasound at 4 weeks and 3 days?
This would be three days after a missed period so not a lot would be visible.
ANSWER
A yolk sac would definitely be visible. Even though you are 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant your baby is only 2 weeks & 3 days old, so you won't be seeing much of a "baby" for a few more weeks.
New Answer-
At 4 weeks, nothing would really be visible Not even a yolk sac. It usually doesn't appear until week 5-6. I am 4 weeks pregnant right now and nothing has really shown up yet.
If your ultrasound says your LMP is 24W3d on dec 14th when did you conceive?
LMP stands for last menstrual period.
24W3D means that you are 24 weeks and 3 days along, there fore you would have conceived approximately 24 weeks and 3 days before December 14. However, those dates can be off as much as 2-3 weeks.

What's the difference between galmp and gaedd when an ultrasound is performed?
GA is gestational age which is how far pregnant you are. LMP is last menstrual period, which is the date of the first day. EDD is estimated dte of delivery (40 weeks from the LMP) The EDD may be changed if the ultrasound gestational age differs from the age by LMP by a lot.
What are ultrasound sonar and echollocation?
Ultrasound sonar is a technology that uses sound waves to detect and locate objects underwater, commonly used in marine navigation and fishing. It emits sound pulses that bounce off objects and return to the source, allowing for measurements of distance and object shape. Echolocation, primarily used by certain animals like bats and dolphins, is a biological process where these creatures emit sound waves that echo off surrounding objects, helping them navigate and hunt in their environments. Both technologies rely on the principles of sound wave reflection to gather information about surroundings.
"Goat" is a generic term for the animal and refers to both genders. A male goat is called a "Billy Goat" and a female goat is called a "Nanny Goat". A young goat is called a "Kid".
There would be no gestational sac visible @ 3 weeks. YES At 5 weeks 3 days pregnant by ultrasound, you conceived 3 weeks 3 days earlier.
Can you tell the difference on an ultrasound scan a 6 week pregnancy to a 10 week pregnancy?
To the untrained eye, probably not. Most people can't see anything in an ultrasound pic. Later on in pregnancy though, that 4 weeks can show a lot of differences.
Is an ultra sound the only way of finding how many weeks pregnant you are?
No. A midwife can also estimate the length of the pregnancy through palpitation of the mothers abdomen. However, the most accurate what to know how far along the pregnancy is, is to know the date of your last menstrual period and assume that conception took place approximately 2 weeks later.
That is quite normal. the baby is not yet large enough to see at 5 weeks though it is developing rapidly. I work at an OBGYN office, and that is absoutley normal!! You can not typically see an embryo on an ultra sound until you are between 6-8 weeks. You levels were great! You should be fine at your next visit when you can see the baby. You can also see a flutter of light on the ultra sound that is the babies heart beat! good luck!
I'm not sure what you mean by "crawling skin" but you do itch like crazy. It is caused by the skin streaching and the added blood flow in the body.
