What should vegetarians eat every day?
Becoming a vegetarianis hard. Especially for those who have be meat eaters for the majority of their lives. However, becoming a vegetarian is very rewarding. It is very good for the body and for peace of mind. There are a couple difficulties that come along with being vegetarian. The main issue being to make sure that you supplement into your diet the things you will be losing by not eating meat. Such as getting an adequate amount of protein. Some good ideas would be using beans, or tofu to get protein in your diet. A good snack that is great for a source of protein is nuts. Take a bag of nuts (such as almonds) with you when you go and snack on them during the day. It's a good idea to take multi vitamins too. Keep your diet varied with a big range of fruits and veggies.
What impact does becoming a vegetarian have on your health?
Being a vegetarian can affect your body in all kinds of positive ways. American culture eats way too much food, and mainly too much meat. It has been proven that our bodies (with its coiled and long intestines) were not created to metabolize meat. Sometimes it can sit in your digestive track for days before the body can break it down. Imagine meat sitting out on the counter for three days in 98 degree weather and that is how it sits in your intestines. The meat industry would have you think that if you become vegetarian that you will be deprived of protein and mal-nutritioned. This is simply not the case. Protein is found in lots of vegetables and grains. I believe the healthiest diet is vegan. If you are too nervous to go directly to vegan, try being vegetarian first, or even just cutting back on your consumption of animal flesh is proven to improve your health.

In general, if you are going vegetarian eat as many FRESH fruits and vegetables as possible. Also, find some way to keep protein in your diet. Peanut butter on whole grain bread is a good whole protein source. Soymilk, tofu, and nuts are also good sources of protein. A lot of the meat substitutes I mentioned above are decent protein sources as well.

I'm a different person than wrote up there, and I disagree. I've been a vegetarian since I was 7, and my sister has her whole life, and we're both very healthy.
I don't understand what you're disagreeing with, it seems more like you're not reading the answer too well. One can do fine on a vegetarian diet, but it does take more planning and knowledge than getting by on a diet that allows for meat protein. If the one deciding the meals has this knowledge then it's not an issue. But if someone simply would scratch meat (or do a random substitution) from an otherwise regular diet they would run the risk of malnutrition. If you've grown up healthy and vegetarian, then obviously you already have a sufficiently balanced diet. And having grown up with it you're not realizing that you've acquired some special knowledge along the way.
Besides, you're not telling what kind of vegetarian you are. lacto-ovo, eating seafood make it much easier to meet the nutrients requirements.
