Why does the fuel pump keep blowing up on golf 2 gti?
Both 8 and 16 valve GTIs are fitted with two fuel pumps, a lift-pump which is fitted in the fuel tank and the external fuel pump under the car body.
If the lift-pump fails the external pump has an increased workload which can result in its failure.
Lift pump failure is usually accompanied by a loss of engine power due to insufficient fuelling.

When should I replace the front struts on my 2003 VW GTI and about how much should it cost?
If they are leaking, damaged, the car sits unlevel, or if after pushing down on the car the car bounces, they probably need replacing. Labor costs should be around $125 and the struts are about $100 each. A wheel alignment is recommended when replacing struts and runs about $60.
Where is the ecu on a VW golf?
Usually on VW's, the ECU is underneath the front dash cowl on the driver's side of the car. Yuo have to access it from under the hood. Remove the plastic panel that is underneath your wiper blades, and it should be sitting there, staring you in the face. Sometimes there are 2 ECU's and the one more the center of the vehicle is the one you're looking for.
It sounds like you refrigerant level is low. At rest, the pressure equalizes in the system. After you start it and turn the ac on, it pumps the refrigerant through the system and builds up pressure on the high side and pulls the low side down until it cuts off on the low pressure cycling switch. If you have to add to the system, then you've got a leak somewhere.
Vw golf mk3 gti 2lt 8v.. replace starter motor?
the 2.0 engine in the mk3 is one of the simplest both in design and space. your starter is located in the front right drivers side area of the engine bay directly in front of your radiator fan. The engine does NOT need to be supported. Do not buy a used starter, either buy a reconditioned one from a trusted supplier such as advanced auto, or go for genuine oem from a dealer or discounter like vwspecific.com (their site sucks, email them for pricing)
What happens if you put 87 regular gas in a volkswagen gti 2.0T engine?
Well going based on my VR6 which wants only 91 octane or better in it. The onlything that would happen is that you would get spark knock and your gas mileage would suffer a bit. There wouldn't be any long term damage to the motor, it just wouldn't run the best. The motor was tuned to run on higher octane gas so that's what you should continue to run in it. When i bought my 01 GTI i put 87 in it and all it did was give me spark knock and didnt have as much power as it does running on 91+. Only reason i put 87 in it was i didnt see the sticker on the inside of the gas lid till it was full. After that its been nothing but higher octane fuel.
Can cosmetic damage be a salvaged title?
Yes, any condition that caused the car to be totaled by an insurance company could cause it to have a salvaged title. A good hailstorm can do thousands of dollars of cosmetic damage resulting in a salvaged title.
Were his the fuse for heater on golf mk2 1986?
The fuse for the heater is located in the main fusebox to the right of the steering wheel under the dashboard on RHD Models. It depends what your problem is really but Usually faults with the heater model relate to the heater motor resistor located on the actual heater motor itself. On the extreme left underneath the dashboard. Volksland.com

How do you change the head light bulb on a 2003 Volvo s40?
After opening up the bonnet look behind the headlight unit and you'll see a rubber cover , pull this off and then you'll see the back of the headlight unit across this there will be two metal clips, just unhook these and the unit will come out with the bulb. You just have to pull the bulb out and then replace it with the new one , then
put it back in and clipping the metal clips in to hold the bulb in place.
How much is going to cost you to change struts on m galant 2002?
I just had mine done on a 2000 ES. (they use the same parts)
Instead of the stock McPherson replacement struts, I bought some KYB GR-2 (a little better gas strut) for about $63 each and had Midas install them for $75 per side. If you think you have a blown strut you can check yourself by running your fingers along where the strut goes into the housing and feel for grease. If you feel grease it is blown. Or you can push down really hard above one of the front wheels and if it bounces up and down to a stop instead of just coming right back up and stopping, you got a blown strut.
Fixing a blown strut makes a world of a difference. Even if your front end seems to be 'bouncy' over bumps, you may have a blown strut.
You can also get Hancock struts as a cheaper replacement strut at any auto store. The Kyb's give more of a sporty ride.
All and all your looking at about $120-$130 for parts and approx. $100-$150 labor depending on who you know!
How do you change the front amber light bulbs in a 2002 Chevy Z71 I can't get to them.?

If you know that the changeover valve is broken then you need to replace it. As for the fault, check for a broken vacuum hose, or leak and if so repair and retest . If vacuum hoses are fine and no vacuum leaks check to see if your combi valve is bad and leaking, it is very easy to tell there will be a loud hissing noise under the intake manifold when the engine is running. if that is ok check the mass air flow sensor, and the oxygen sensors.
Is it possible to fit mk2 gearbox into mk 3 gti?

How much should front struts cost for a 1991 Toyota Previa?
Sensa trac sells for 65 a piece with lifetime warranty
My epc light came on because of battery failure. My battery was acting funny and barely starting the car. I went to autozone and had them check my battery which ended up having a bad cell. I replaced the battery and the car easily started up. After the car started the light never came back on.
How to replace fuse for the stereo on a 2002 VW Golf GTI?
There are 2 fuses on that stereo system, Fuse 37 or 42 in the driver's side of the dash or the back of the radio. You need special tools to remove the radio. If the radio just quit working, simply remove the fuse on the side of the dash and re-install the fuse, the radio should start working again.
Update: I just tried this (removing each fuse individually, one at at time) and it didn't work. HOWEVER! I just pulled BOTH 37 AND 42 at the same time and put them back in and it fixed it. (Thats right... Genius.)
I just had this happen on our 2002 VW Golf TDI and removing these two fuses (I did both together) worked for me as well.
Also works on the 2003 Golf GL - Great Tip!
How do you recharge the the ac in 1996 blazer?
1196 blazers use r-134 refrigerant, usally one can will do it but i always have two just in case.first start the engine, turn on a/c to max cool, now you always connect to your low port on a 96 blazer it is located on the accumulator( big shiney thing next to heater box on pass. side of engine compartment) on the top half of it is a service port may have a plastic cap on it if it does unscrew it, connect hose of recharge unit with can of refrigerant already screwed on but not pierced, slowly pierce can with tap valve i always wrap can with warm wet towel it helps with icing turn piercing valve all the way in then all the way out hold can upright until empty then close piercing valve remove hose replace cap. sometimes it might take 2 cans but test after one to see if a/c is blowein good and cold
I can tell you, yes they do. I own one 2001 gt tdi pd 115 version. The best car I could afford due to insurance. Having 5 gears just means it revs higher than having 6 gears.
---They did not make a GTTDI pd 115bhp with 5speed. if you have a golf pd, it would either be 115bhp-130bhp-150bhp, and if it was 5 speed it would be 110bhp or 90bhp. as PD is a 6speed gearbox and a different fuel pump
How do you change front head light bulb for 1998 Mercury Tracer?
It helps if you use the headlight for reference. Also, take note of the position of the parts and how they are lined up as you remove them because installation is the reverse of removal. If you stand over the hood and look at the headlight from the side of the car, you'll notice that there is a black plastic cap that looks like the top of a plastic laundry detergent bottle. It has a couple wires attached to it and is directly behind headlight. Give this a slight twist and it will pop off. You will then be able to see the connector for the bulb. I believe it's blue. Grasp the connector and pull on it and it will come off of the bulb. Follow the end of the bulb up towards the assembly and there will be a plastic ring around the bulb that holds it in place. You will need to give this a twist (I believe to the left) and when it disengages, you can then remove the bulb. When reinstalling the bulb, be sure the slots on the plastic ring are lined up 12 o'clock 6 o' clock when you put the plastic ring back in place.
