Yes; Vyvanse is a prodrug of dextroamphetamine. Vyvanse will show up as amphetamine on a urine drug test.
Because Vyvanse is a medication that works the same day you take it I have gone through periods where I stopped. And I always ended up gaining weight. Not sure if the Vyvanse raised my metabolism, cut the hunger or I just had more will power on it. Likely a bit of all three.
Maybe... Im having the same experiance.. Im on 30mg day, for about 3 weeks.. All of a sudden, numbness (cold) in my left arm and leg... I dont know if its just because Im so focused on work that I dont get up from my desk for 4-6 hours at a time, or if its the drug. Ironically though, as soon as I started moving/walking around, it felt like the blood returned, and the area instantly had a rush of a warm feeling?!?!?!
Generally, no it doesn't matter if you take them together. But, it really depends on the type of pain medication that is being used. The analgesics (pain medication) category is truly massive and you would need to check with your primary healthcare provider to ensure that there are no drug to drug interactions.
No; Vyvanse contains lisdextafetamine which is a prodrug of dextroamphetamine. Amphetamines will cause a "good response" or increased feelings of well-being and focus in almost all individuals who consume it. It does not indicate that you have ADHD. Vyvanse is addictive and should be used cautiously, as it is a scheduled II drug that caries penalties for consumption without a prescription.
2 friends and I bought a pill each of vyvanse, specifically for that reason, and they did it at school, took one pill each.
like 10 seconds later after my 90 pound friend took it, she was high.
same thing with my 200 pound friend.
and me, 120 pounds, just took one this morning. and feel nothing.
maybe it's because i waited and it melted or something, but i am extremely pissed, so i recommend just taking ecstasy which is much better.
It depends on location and timing. Typically they will go for 10-15$ for a 20mg pill, during finals week in college you can expect to pay 20-25$.
Yes, I had pain in one elbow, then in knees and throughout legs and then back in alternating elbows. The pain was unrelenting and excruciating and continues 6 months after I stopped taking the drug. I am going back and forth between neurologist and rhumatologist and no avail. The pain persist as well as swelling of forearms and rash that looks like shingles but is not. The Doctors just think I am nuts but cannot explain the symptoms.
Stimulant medications, including amphetamines (i.e. Adderall, Vyvanse), do induce anxiety in some people. Other medications could be tried for treatment of ADHD if this anxiety is unbearable, or another medication could be used to treat this anxiety (i.e. a benzo or a mood stabilizer).
From my own personal experience I believe that it can, and has in my case. I am a 20 year old male college student, and I have seen the hair in the front of my head come out with disturbing frequency after a couple straight weeks on this drug. My advice is not to take it, the hair loss is actually one of the most visible and scary reasons that I'm stopping it.
No; Vyvanse is a prodrug designed for a longer duration and to be less abusable. Vyvanse must pass through the liver (i.e, oral route) for it to convert to dextroamphetamine.
There are no known drug to drug interactions between these two medications, making them safe to take together. Make sure to contact you primary care provider prior to taking these two medications to ensure that it is safe.
Yes; some research has indicated that it may in fact prevent some possible damage to dopamine receptors within the brain that amphetamine can potentially damage.
Yes, this is fine, as long as you're only having the prescribed dose of vyvanse and robitussin. It'd be best to take a daytime cold medicine that is caffiene-free (DayQuil) if on ADD meds.
No, you can't snort it. The drug manufacture (Shire) has bonded the active compound (dextroamphetamine) with an amino acid (lyse?) rendering it useless when inhaled. The amino acid component only breaks down in gastric juices while in the stomach; then rendering the active compound to its intended state; resulting in the desired effect.
However If one was to cook the powder from the pills in the microwave for around one minute that person would have something eminently snort-able.
These two drugs have very similar chemistry, so you're playing with overdosing. It's very much like doubling your dose of either one.
Vyvanase and Adderall both exert their effect in the brain through the same active chemical (dextroamphetamine). The difference between them is that they use different mechanisms for slowing the release of active drug, and that Adderall contains levoamphetamine as well and Vyvanase does not.
Having looked over the prescribing information for Vyvanase, it sounds like the time release mechanism in Vyvanase is significantly better, and therefore you should expect a smoother 12 hours of effects with fewer peaks and valleys.
Vyvanase may also have fewer side-effects than Adderall due to the absence of levoamphetamine. People's bodies differ in their response to drugs, so the only way to know which drug will work better for you is to try them both. One thing that is certain, though, is that Vyvanase will be more expensive, probably by a large margin.
Yes, it does. Studies have proven that long term use of this medication has been linked to an addiction to the medication, building up a tolerance to the medication, severe and sometimes dangerous weight loss, and stunted growth (common in children).
Yes they can be taken one before or after the other or simultaneously. SWIM has found that 5-htp gets rid of some of the negative side effects from the vyvanse (anxiety, etc.)
Depends how much you took, if you took 70mg probably 12 hours or so but if you took a real high dose like 140mg probably 18 hours maybe a little more. A little more kick to it than 5 hour energy.
Lisdexamfetamine is a prodrug of dextroamphetamine. After oral administration,
lisdexamfetamine is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and
converted to dextroamphetamine, which is responsible for the drug's activity.
In 18 pediatric patients (aged 6 to 12) with ADHD, the Tmax of dextroamphetamine
was approximately 3.5 hours following single-dose oral administration of lisdexamfetamine
dimesylate either 30 mg, 50 mg, or 70 mg after an 8-hour overnight fast. The
Tmax of lisdexamfetamine was approximately 1 hour. Linear pharmacokinetics of dextroamphetamine
after single-dose oral administration of lisdexamfetamine dimesylate
was established over the dose range of 30 mg to 70 mg in children aged 6 to 12 years.
There is no unexpected accumulation of dextroamphetamine AUC at steady state in
healthy adults and no accumulation of lisdexamfetamine after once-daily dosing for
7 consecutive days.
Food does not affect the observed AUC and Cmax of dextroamphetamine in healthy
adults after single-dose oral administration of 70 mg of Vyvanse capsules but
prolongs Tmax by approximately 1 hour (from 3.8 hrs at fasted state to 4.7 hrs
after a high fat meal). After an 8-hour fast, the AUCs for dextroamphetamine
following oral administration of lisdexamfetamine dimesylate in solution and as
intact capsules were equivalent.
Weight/Dose normalized AUC and
It became generic in Ontario, Canada around July, 2007.
Vyvanse is a central nervous stimulant which affects chemicals in the brain, increasing concentrations of certain neurotransmitters. Vyvanse is approved to treat ADHD in both children and adults. Vyvanse is the brand-name for lisdexamfetamine. Lisdexamfetamine is a prodrug of dextroamphetamine. Dextroamphetamine is a controlled substance in most countries and is only dispensed under the authorization of a doctor.
Dextroamphetamine works by increasing two chemicals in the brain: dopamine and norepinephrine. Both chemicals have been shown to play a role in focus and attention, and by raising these levels dextroamphetamine is able to help a person concentrate and sit still for longer periods of time.
Vyvanse carries unique properties due to being a prodrug of amphetamine. Vyvanse is inactive until an enzyme works to activate allowing a longer duration of symptom relief (up to 14 hours) and less abusable properties since it must be swallowed to become active.
Vyvanse is available in doses of 20mg, 30mg, 40mg, 50mg, 60mg, and 70mg. In Canada, Vyvanse is only available in doses of 20mg, 40mg, and 60mg.
Zyrtec is safe. DON'T take benedril, it COULD KILL you. Hope I helped
Diarrhea usually improves within 24-48 hours. If the problem lasts longer or if it keeps coming back, diarrhea could be a sign of a more serious problem
