The complex ones used in BoB were probably Vietnam era signals introduced by Dale Dye, the military technical adviser who is a USMC veteran of Vietnam. One Example; In "Day of Days" when they are assaulting the guns at Brecourt - When approaching the machine gun nest. Buck Compton signals that there is one MG42, 25 yards away and directs to attack with grenades.

Each truck and jeep were usually marked on the bumper with an abbreviated designation of the unit followed by the vehicle number. Thus 85-337I is an abbreviation for 85th Infantry Division, 337th Infantry Regiment, Co. I. WTF is probably an abbreviation for a Task Force. When the army was on the move, a smaller force was organized that included combined armor, infantry and artillery that was able to move quickly. These task forces were usually named after their commander. I would only be guessing on the name of this task force. If you had a date or a place, then it might help to identify this unit. Refer to a history book or the US Army's History of WW2 (also the website for Center for Military History) and you may find the reference to such as Task Force. I found it. Western Task Force

No, John Halder was a fictional character from the movie "Good". However, the character of John Halder represents the ideas and actions of the German citizenry of the 1930's. Eugenics (racial superiority) was very popular in the early 30's. Also, the idea that handicapped and mentally ill should be Euthanized because they were a drain on the finances of the welfare state. The idea was that it was human to do this. Hatred of Jews, gypsies, gays, handicapped and political dissidents increased through out the 30's. Their goods were stolen, they were deported to unwanted land, then labor camps to be worked to death. However, Hitler was always planning to kill the "unwanted". When working them to death did not work. The Final Solution was decided by Hitlers top brass including Heydrich and Eichmann. Ideas of moving all Jews (and other unwanted) to work camps were finalized and ideas of how to kill them freely discussed over brandy. They began by having them shot in mass executions. However, the Germans who carried out these executions began suffering from the stress. They became alcoholics and many committed suicide. So gassing was thought up as a human way for the executioners to kill millions. Meaning human for the executioners, they did not care if the victims were treated humanly.

Considering she would be over 80 years old now (if real and still alive), and I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't want her real name used. The name "Rachel Stein" is very common, so the question comes up "What was her real name?"

The poison most likely used here would be morphine,there is a chance it could be Heroin but morphine would be the most likely.200mg is the minimum lethal dose to kill an opiate naive patient,i.e. someone who does not use morphine regularly and has built up a tolerance,though doses of 60mg can kill in cases of hypersensitivity .The patient would become unconscious within a few minutes,the drug would the suppress their respiration and they would die from asphyxia.There would be no distress to the patient as they are unconscious and unaware that their breathing has stopped.Heroin would have the same effects.Morphine can be taken orally as seen here.

There are other drugs they could have used but many would take either longer to kill or cause the patient distress.
