A schoolboy pin is classically defined as a wrestling hold in which one male (boy or man) straddles the upper chest of his opponent and immobilizes his opponent's arms by placing them beneath his knees or shins. When a female (girl or woman) administers this wrestling hold on her opponent, it is more properly referred to as a schoolgirl pin. This is distinct from a so-called "bully pin" (administered by either gender) in which the more dominant wrestler sits down lower towards or directly on the abdominal region and immobilizes the defeated wrestler's arms by placing them straight down at their sides with the "bully's" knees on top.
