Go to the roster and find the player you want to trade for. Click on him and scroll down to trade player. Then switch one panel over (horizontally to the right) and click on the panel. Go to the team you want the person on and choose the person you want to swap out. Then execute the trade.

It takes timing and depending on who you're shooting with, because everyone has different release, some are slower than others. You have to use RS (right stick), move it back and watch their arms move back and release the stick just when they're about to shoot. It takes getting use to, as I said before it depends on who your're shooting with. It's realistic. People like Rajon Rondo, Dwight Howard, and Shaq have trouble shooting at the line in real life so it will be harder to shoot with them and takes perfect timing to release the stick. But people like Mo Williams, Ray Allen, or Kobe Bryant have good release in real life and they're release is quick so it wouldn't be so hard.
