A Breath of Eyre is actually about a girl who gets transported during a lightning storm into the novel, Jane Eyre. The time spent in the novel feels historical since the book is set in 1847, but about two-thirds of the novel is set in Emma's contemporary world. So I wouldn't call it a historical, really.
