No it sends you to the home screen

If you press both the Power button and Home button simultaneously a screenshot of your current screen will be saved to your "Camera Roll".

If you hold both the Power Button and Home Button your iDevice will shut down and reboot.

You usually do Lock Button + Home button for Samsung devices making sure you click the lock button first or you'll end up at the home screen :)
