There is migration, chain migration, forced migration, voluntary migration, net-in migration, net-out migration, immigration, emmigration, countermigration.
These are Human Geographic terms by the way. That makes about 9 types of migration.

The easiest way is to connect the PC to the Mac via a USB cable
and use Migration Assistant (Macintosh
HD>Applications>Utilities>Migration Assistant). This
should do it. Otherwise, you can format a USB drive or flash stick
to MS-DOS and just drag and drop your files on your windows machine
onto the drive and then plug it into the Mac, repeating the process
in the opposite direction.
