The sediment size carried by the stream increases. EW
A stream carries material through processes such as suspension, where smaller particles are held aloft in the water; bed load, where larger sediment like gravel and sand rolls or bounces along the streambed; and solution, where dissolved minerals are transported within the water. The stream's velocity and turbulence influence how much material it can carry and the types of sediment it transports. As the stream flows, it can erode the banks and bed, contributing to the overall movement of materials.
Stream Load is the amount of material a stream can hold as it flows. As a stream flows it causes erosion, and this erosion is carried about as material in the stream. As too much is eroded, the extra material will fall to the bottom, or push it's way to the sides.
A stream or river called that flows into a larger stream or river is called a tributary.
