Bud Billiken was a fictious person created by author, Willard Motley, who one wrote a column for the Chicago Defender. Bud Billiken is the Guardian Angel of Black children, created to encourage Black children to go to school by Willard Motley.
The Bud Billiken Parade is in Chicago. It always done in August usually before the kids go back to school. The parade starts at 10:00 AM Central Time. It is always good to get there early to get a good view of the Parade.
