it is apparent that the congressmen of Georgia could not decide what capital they wanted in the early 1700s until the early 1800s. Savannah was the 1st capital of Georgia. The congressmen of Georgia felt like the city wasn's improving , so they decide to move the city in 1785 to Augusta. Not long after that, Atlanta became our capital for good!:)
