What can restore soberity?
There are many forms of "rehad" out there with many different techniques or programs to use. Unfortunetly rehabilitation has become much like the medical world. Big business. There is only one that I know of that is not financialy based. AA. They are a big program, with a big heart. I don't agree with all the things that go on there, or, the prescribed attendance of forever. I think that every person has an amout of time that they are being helped, and then it becomes a crutch, just like addiction itself. However, they are a great support program for someone who is serious, and a person can make life long, REAL friend there, and get an excellent start there. There are also a lot of good tools to be acquired there, free of charge. An addict would be a fool not to at least check it out. But, my answer to your question has to remain the same as the one they, or anyone else is the re-hab world will give you. There is only one person that can help with such a problem. One person in the world. And, if an addict does not find that person, they will die, only after living a painful, and agonizing life. And that's not to mention what they do to themselves! So, my friend, if this question is autobiographical, I recomend that you begin searching immediately, and with vengeance. I cannot tell you where to find this person, however, I can get you started. There is usually a portal in most peoples bathroom, right above their sink, that will usually at least give you a picture of what that person looks like. For some of us, that really isn't much to go on because we had never seen this person before. However, with persistance, willingness, and an open mind, a guide can usually get us there, if we a re strong enough for the journey. Some never make it. I believe that we control our success, or not, on this journey. There are many "tests" along the way to test our durability, and remind us of that damned thing called "free will". This will be without a doubt, the toughest journey of any addicts life. But, also the most rewarding.
