Boise is the capital of Idaho. It is a center of industry for Idaho, and surrounded by great natural beauty. It is a valley with a large river running through it which is popular in the summer for river rafting. The city's nickname is "The City of Trees" because it is filled with so many trees of all kinds. The mountains around it offer great skiing in winter, and hiking and camping in the warmer months. Boise is considered to be a very healthy city because so many of the residents love to bicycle, and the city has created bike paths throughout. People are pretty friendly, and it's a great walking city too. Housing prices are reasonable, crime is low compared to other cities, and the quality of life is pretty high.
