it depends on the condition of the bill but commonley its only worth 20 dollars sorry
The value of a 1963 series $5 bill can vary based on its condition and rarity. Generally, in average circulated condition, it might be worth around $5 to $10. However, if the bill is in uncirculated or excellent condition, it could be worth significantly more, potentially ranging from $15 to $50 or higher. For precise valuation, it's best to consult a currency collector or dealer.
To the best of my knowledge, a circulated 1963 the dollar bill should be worth about $15.00 as of 2/2009. A bill that has not yet been circulated may be worth more, maybe up to $25.00.
There is no collector value. It's still worth $5.

As of 12/2009 your bill is worth about $15 retail if it's in average worn condition. In better shape it might go for $18 to $20. A crisp uncirculated one would sell for around $25.Note that the word is DOLLAR, just like it's printed on each side of the bill, plus it can't be a 1963 D series because series letters for that year only went up to A. You may be looking at the Federal Reserve District letter rather than the series letter - the latter is by the date, not inside the Fed seal.
The value of a 1963 A series 20 dollar star bill can vary depending on its condition, rarity, and demand from collectors. In general, these bills can be worth anywhere from a few dollars to a couple hundred dollars. It's best to have the bill evaluated by a professional currency dealer to get an accurate assessment of its value.

Unless it's in like-new condition, face value only.

i have one that is exactly the same as yours i have read that the bill can be worth up to 38 dollars and a 12 dollar minimum. I have found this on many sights because i was curious myself.
Its worth 15-20 dollarsCorrectionPlease check your bill again and post a new question. There were no 1963 B $5 bills printed, only 1963 US Notes, and 1963 and 1963 A Federal Reserve Notes.
In perfect uncirculated condition, a 1963 $5 note is worth between $15-20. In normal used condition, it is worth exactly $5.
If it's series 1976 or later, the bill is worth exactly $2.
