It's not a genuine US coin. No silver dollars were made from 1905 to 1920. Silver dollars minted before and after those dates contained 0.77 troy ounces of silver, they didn't carry a fineness stamp, and they were intended for use in ordinary commerce.

My guess is that it's a private bullion coin and the date really isn't 1906. If it contains an ounce of .999 fine silver its value would be a bit more than the current spot price of silver; check a newspaper or a business web site for an up to date price because it changes all the time.
