I'll base this answer on the assumption that the question refers to the South before the US Civil War.
Slaves, were for the most part, workers on the large cotton & tobacco plantations. In the South, the weather is hot & humid so the work was hard. Additionally slaves had household duties, more so for female slaves, and slaves also tended the horses & other livestock herds of their owners. Once again the work was not easy & in many situations slaves were beaten. However, this could be done only on a selective basis as a slave owner needed well fed & healthy slaves to toil in the fields.
The largest concentration of slaves in North America was in the southern states. They used slaves extensively to harvest labor intensive crops like cotton.
West Virginia is the southern state with the fewest Black residents. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, its Black population is significantly lower compared to other Southern states, making up around 3-4% of the total population. This contrasts sharply with states like Mississippi and Louisiana, where Black residents comprise a much larger percentage of the population.
because we no longer wanted to be part of the union, where the southern states were not considered soverign and the union states did not believe in states' rights like the south did
No, confederate is almost like the opposite of yankee. During the civil war the southern states formed the Confederate States of America, while the northern states stayed the United States of America. The term for the northern troops was Yankee, and the term for the southern troops was confederate or rebel depending on which side you're on.
First, while the word probably does sound like "succeed" (which means to do well), the word you want is "secede" (which means to withdraw from or remove oneself from). There were eleven southern states that left the Union and formed the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. The first of them was South Carolina in 1860, followed by Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Not sure what references to the other continents mean, but in the United States, it is mainly grown in southern states like Texas.
It reaches from southern America like around Texas and Oklahoma then it spreads upward toward the middle like kansas then northern upper states.
yes, I know one of them is the alligator snapping turtle, most common in the southern states like Florida.

North America, along with the rest of Texas.
Probably Blacks (not to be mean), like the rest of America.
Blizzards commonly form in cold areas such as Alaska and Southern parts of Antarctica.Sometimes though, they form in the northern states of the United States of America like Maine and sometimes Pennsylvania.

America, particularly the continental United States, is generally farther from the equator than southern Argentina. The equator runs through countries like Ecuador and Colombia, placing those areas closer to it than the United States. Southern Argentina, while still considerably south of the equator, is closer to it than the northern part of the United States. Thus, northern Argentina is closer to the equator than the U.S. is.
