• Wendel should give you the Turban or Country Guitar. If you get the Turban, take it to Sahara when she comes to town.
• Sahara should give you either th Massage Chair or Red Vase. If you get the Massage Chair, let Tortimer have it the next holiday and he should give you the scallop. Then just wait for Pascal to show up and give him the scallop.
• If you got the Country Guitar, give it to K.K. Slider to get K.K.'s Picture
• If you got the Red Vase, give it to Crazy Redd in exchange for the Safe. Give the safe to Tom Nook for the Tom Nook Picture.

Now, in order to get the golden axe you will need a lot of money and time, so patience is key. If you couldn't be patient if your life depended on it, then I highly suggest changing the date. Now this could involve up to 600,000 bells, so if your saving up a million for the gold shopping card, either borrow the money to reach a million from someone else, then once then send you the gold card in the post, and give them their money back, or give up. Now for this you will have already needed to have built the bridge, which requires 200,000 bells into the town fund and a week of your time, for people to vote where they want the town bridge to be placed. If you have already built another bridge, well done you, as you'll be saving A LOT of time and money. After the week has gone, you'll then need 400,000 bells to get a town fountain, which again will take a week. If again, your very organised and you've purchased a town fountain, very well done. On the day the fountain is built (it will be by the bus stop), tronimer (the town's mayor) will be blocking the gap in the gate you need. But, on the next day, he will have gone. All you need to do now is buy an axe, have it in your hands, and stand in the gap facing the fountain, and press A. You will throw the axe into the top of the fountain, and Serena (who looks like the statue on top of the city's fountain) will appear. She will ask what you threw into the fountain, and, I know it seems obvious, don't tell her you threw a golden axe in and you want it back, as she knows you can;t throw golden axes into the town fountain. Instead, be honest, and tell her you threw a regular axe into the fountain. You can only throw one axe in the fountain per day. She'll give it back, and she'll probably keep giving you the regular axe back everytime you try this, but be patient, she'll eventually give you the silver axe, or the golden axe. If you get the silver axe, and you wanted gold, just throw it back into the fountain, and keep going, but instead, tell her you threw the silver axe in. To improve your chances of getting the golden axe, feng shui your house and carry luck items (e.g. four-leafed clover, lucky cat, washer/dryer, master sword etc.)

I have not gotten in myself, but I have a pretty good idea of how to get it. You first have to build a fountain in your town by donating 400,000 bells to the town fund. Get a regular axe and throw it in the fountain. The fountain fairy comes out and she says something. What she says depends on different things. If it is raining outside, she will be all depressed and complain about her hair and makeup. Usually she doesn't give it back when its raining. If the sun is out she either asks you if you see a change about her. If you say no, she will get all mad and keep your axe. If you say yes she will talk about a very small change and give your axe back. This has only happened to me a few times, but sometimes she says she's in a generous mood and asks you what you want: your axe back, a silver axe, or a gold axe. If you say gold or silver, she normally says she doesn't have any left or she has one, but doesn't want to give it to you. I don't know what happens when you say you want your axe back because I'm not that.... you know. Good luck!
