Well, it's up to you how you decorate it. If you send your original town fruit to other town members they'll send exotic fruits back to you that you can plant. In Nook's shop he sells flowers. Buy a shovel and start planting. Also if you plant certain flowers next to each other they'll create exotic ones or hybrids. First get furniture from Tom Nook or your friends or neighbors or however you want to get furniture, then put the furniture in your pocket (the furniture looks like leaves) go to your house, then go to your pocket and drop the furniture. Your furniture will now appear in your house. Now to move it, just hold A while facing the item, and use the arrow keys/control stick (depending on which console your playing it on). And you'll have to do that for every piece of furniture you get, but after a while it becomes really easy.
