But he comes back in Modern Warfare 2 and then gets beat up by General Shepherd and you use the knife he stabbed you with to throw at him. Shepherd then dies, Nikolai comes in a helicopter, and he and Price drag you to safety. If he returns again, maybe in a MW3? then we then probably know hes very much alive.
