Yes, if the quality of the game is to high, and you stare at the screen for too long, the glare from the over qualitied game will eventually hurt your eyes. this is the same as when you look at the sun for too long, you start to squint, well that is what is happening if you choose a too higher quality on your game, you will start to squint and hurt your eyes. But after a while the pain will go away, usually when you go in a mildly dark room
