Cloudy water happens for MANY different reasons. It could be something as simple as high pH. Your first step should always be to take a water sample to the local pool store for analysis. Make sure they test for PHOSPHATES. Follow their directions and always balance your water first. Then move on to things like alagecides and clarifiers. Finally and just as important, is there plenty of circulation and good filtration. Just because the cartridge is new does not mean it's not already filthy. thepoolandspawarehouse.com
