That depnds on what you mean by "too high". Your chlorine shouldn't be higher than a regular shock, about 10-12ppm, unless you have a really bad green algae bloom that required chlorine up to 25ppm.

Even at 15-20ppm for chlorine your pool pump should be fine.

Can an above ground pool be left closed for the summer with the winter cover left on and if so should chlorine be added under the cover and or the pump hooked up and run?

It would probably do no particular harm, However it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the water so that you add chlorine or algae-side should the pool need it. the pump can be run sol long as the water level is OK.

What to do when there is Way to much chlorine in your pool?

If there is too much chlorine in your pool, you can first test the water to confirm the high levels. To reduce the chlorine level, you can aerate the water by running the pool pump and opening the pool cover to let sunlight break down the chlorine. You can also partially drain the pool and refill it with fresh water to dilute the chlorine concentration.

Can air get into pool filter causing it to lose prime if water level in pool is too high?

Yes, air can get into the pool pump causing it to lose prime if you have a leak or crack in the plumbing leading from the pool to the pump. The pool level being too high plays no role, however you should make sure that the pool level is not too high for other reasons, mainly the level is too high, water will leak under your cement causing it to settle. Keep the water level in the middle of the skimmer opening.

If you have a saltwater system that produces its own chlorine do you still need to have a chlorine tablet in the skimmer at all times like a standard system?

No you do not.The only chlorine you will use in a salt system is a shock. But even then you should use only a NON-Chlorine shock. And by the way Chlorine in your skimmer is a very bad Idea, The high concentration of chlorine going straight to your equipment (pump, heater, filter)will shorten it's life considerably. How can I transfer water from a low level to a high level without using a pump?

One way to transfer water from a low level to a high level without using a pump is by using a siphon. A siphon works by creating a vacuum that pulls the water up from the low level to the high level. This method relies on gravity to move the water without the need for mechanical assistance.

How can the chlorine level be lowered with salt chlorinator?

That usually have a adjustment to turn them down, otherwise you will have to run it for less time. This can be done with a second timer. Be careful that the filter is always in operation when the chlorinater is in operation.

What does salt high mean in intex pump?

In the context of an Intex pool pump, "salt high" typically indicates that the salt level in the pool water is above the recommended range for the saltwater chlorinator. This high salt concentration can lead to reduced efficiency in chlorine production and may even damage the chlorinator. It's essential to check the salt levels and dilute the water if necessary to maintain optimal performance and protect the equipment.

It's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosage based on the pool's size. Ensure the pump is running to help distribute the chlorine evenly, and allow the water to circulate for several hours before retesting the levels.
