You will need to be able to pick the specific Colt 25 as it looks like there may be more than one in .25 cal.
Just as a guess using just your serial number as reference, it may have been made in 1928. Colt also does have a research department, (or at least they used to) who could research and let you know the year it was made, and possibly where it was initially where it was shipped.
