A 15 yr old should be capable of using most firearms that an adult can use, with the possible exception of a few VERY large, VERY hard recoiling firearms. My granddaughter is 14, and fires rifles and shotguns with me. She is on the small side, but shoots 20 g shotguns, .223 and 7.62x39 rifles, and .38 caliber handguns. This will vary depending on the size of the 15 yr old (they DO come in different sizes) and will depend on whether it is a rifle, shotgun, or handgun. (The person that took a silver medal for shooting skeet in the Olympics a few years back was a 16 yr old- a girl)
