The last region of the world to actually become populated by humans were some the Pacific islands. Many of these have only been settled in the past few hundred years. Antarctica has been explored more recently, and there are research stations there, but there are no true human inhabitants there.
Towards the end of the Ice Age groups of Humans (HomoSapiens) are thought to have left Africa and entered and settled in the southern parts of Europe. These people are called the Cro Magnons in modern science.
There are two theories: 1. Humans are believed to have originated from Africa. From here, they then migrated to Europe and Asia. 2. Three groups of humans originated around the same time: in Africa, Europe, and Australia.
The Australian aboriginal people were the first to settle in Australia. Humans originated in Africa and from there migrated to other areas, which was a slow process. South America, the Pacific Islands and Australia were settled quite recently.

The last region of the world to be occupied by early humans was the Americas, with evidence suggesting human presence as early as 15,000-20,000 years ago. This migration is thought to have occurred via the Bering Land Bridge, connecting Asia and North America during the last Ice Age.
It still is.. Or do you mean when was it FIRST occupied by humans?

argues that humans were responsible for the Late Pleistocene extinction of megafauna in northern Eurasia and North and South America.
Greenland is the largest island in the world and is not occupied by humans. The harsh climate and remote location make it largely uninhabitable.
Native and indigenous peoples populate the Northern Hemisphere, and indeed, have occupied sub-polar lands for tens of thousands of years. There are no native or indigenous peoples in Antarctica: the continent has never been 'occupied' by humans -- or any animal. It's too cold and there is no food chain.
All continents but Antarctica are populated by humans.

The southern pole is utterly inhospitable for humans. Even though the northern polar region is no picnic it is on this end of the globe that there are indigenous populations such as the Inuit.
