It was the Treaty of Versailles that Germany took FULL RESPONSABILITY for in World War I.Hope this helped you,MichaelaThompson
The treaty was called the Treaty of Versailles. It was a treaty that severely punished Germany for their atrocities and brutality and blamed Germany for the war. The treaty made Germany pay out millions in reparations, get rid of their military, stop manufacturing war products, turn over war items to other nations and a lot of other things were in the treaty. The Treaty had crippled the economy of Germany. People were starving, homeless, jobless and it was all due to the 14 points of the Treaty of Versailles. See the Link Below.
Basically the Treaty of Versailles stated that Germany had to take full responsibility for the outbreak of World War I. In the Treaty, Germany was forced to pay $33 billion in reparations to the countries affected by the war. Germany was also required to give up most of its colonies that it had control over prior to WWI. So, I suppose these events would make Germany very sad...
The provinces of Alsace and Lorraine were returned to France following World War I. It was done as part of the Treaty of Versailles in order to punish Germany.
