As an American woman I would have worked for the Red Cross and done war bond fund drives. I would have helped the women's auxiliaries just as my mother and aunt and grandmother had done during the war. My mother was in medical school so she was able to do a little to help the Red Cross with blood drives.
Now if I was a Hollywood beauty I probably would work in the USO entertaining the armed forces.
