I don't think it would be a good idea. Use pine bedding from the pet store. If you use carpet they will probably bite it and strangle. I have had two guinea pigs before
i love you so much
Yes you can use towels instead of beding for guieana pigs to be on because I have a guieana pig myself and he LOVES towels. Whats really great about using towels as bedding for your guieana pig is that you can take the towels out if your guieana pigs cage and reuse them again. Towels don't harm your guieana pig eather. Plus, their even more softer than bedding form a store! I know this because when I got my guieana pig, the owner said that its healther for your guieana pig because theres less dust to ruin your guieana pig's eyes.
if its beding is hay then yes it normal for any g-pig to eat hay But you should NOT use hay for bedding. Hay is to eat, you should use either aspen (NOT pine) or recycled paper bedding that you buy at the pet store. Improved: Actually, it is normal for guinea pigs to eat their bedding. I know that it is gross, but guinea pigs are supposed to eat their droppings because it gives them necessary nutrients that they don't have time to absorb the first time it goes through their bodies. Recycled paper bedding at the pet store is the best, and the best kind of hay is the KAYTEE brand Timothy hay. Hope that this helps!
yes you can potty train a guinea pig and it is so easy to train them but you have to be patient. if you would like to see how to potty train a guinea pig then go on you tube and type in how to potty train a guinea pig and you can see all you need to know
Yes, you can use cloth for bedding for your guinea pigs. Just make sure it is clean, soft, and absorbent. Avoid using materials that can cause choking or gastrointestinal blockages if chewed. Regularly clean and wash the cloth bedding to maintain hygiene.
ye bol
i use paper shredded with shavings for my piggies they love it
You should not use cat litter, pine shavings, or cedar shavings. It would be better and healthier to get a guinea pig a different bedding.
Yes use pine bedding NOT sawdust it is very bad for there lungs if you need any advice on guinea pigs contact a guinea pig rescue not a pet store
I would say yes, because it is much more cheaper.
i love you so much
I believe that it is a possibility for them to be allergic to the aspen bedding. That or it is too dusty for them. I have two piggies and one of them sneezes when i use aspen bedding, but the other is perfectly fine. I hope that it isn't anything more serious than needing to buy a different type of bedding.

Young Guinea Pigs may sneeze if they are sensitive to dust or allergens in the bedding, especially if it's not cleaned and changed often. Eating bedding may indicate a nutritional deficiency or boredom; ensure the Guinea Pig has enough hay and fruits/vegetables in their diet, and consider providing more enrichment activities to prevent nibbling on bedding.

The poo can be, but not the bedding, the bedding is better off being taken to the tip, or put in your dustbin/trashcan.
I need to feed my guinea pig.
