Run for cover! Don't bother running for water because they don't mind the water. Get into your home quickly and take 2 - 25 mgs. of Benodryl (antihistamine) and given in hospitals and if badly stung phone the ambulance. ALWAYS keep an antihistamine with you as you never know when you'll need it. I do.
there is one important thing never to forget, that's don't panic!!!! don't scream because this will anger the bees. i know how to escape because i have been attacked by a swarm. all you do is run or sprint away from the swarm and hide away in the nearest building EG: toilets or a friends house. there is also a way i escaped without being stung.. amazingly with a swarm as big as a tennis court. i screamed what wasn't right but i ran to cover and hid under a bench while i worried about being stung and all that blah blah. the swarm faced my direction and flew over i thought i would die, being only nine i would though but the swarm actually flew away and i was so scared but i never got stung so... that's how. so just remember all of this.
If you get stung by a guinea wasp, carefully remove the stinger without squeezing it. Squeezing may release more venom. Ice and elevate the sting. Remove any tight clothing or jewelry from the sting area. Take over-the-counter pain reliever for pain, and apply calamine lotion for itching. Keep the area clean to prevent infection.
Make sure you do not touch the sting and handle it around the waist. Not too hard otherwise you could harm the wasp.Be careful of there wings, they are very delicate! Keep calm or they will get frightened and may sting you or your pet.
(Wasp and Bee stings are VERY harmful to pets) If this has not helped as much as you would of hoped, go to 'YouTube' or copy and paste this link :

Yes - there are many types of wasps in California including: German yellowjacket, western yellowjacket, California yellowjacket, paper wasp, mud dauber, fig wasp, Western sand wasp, square headed wasp, bee wolf, Pacific burrowing wasp, gall wasp, soldier wasp, club horned wasp, burrowing wasp, blue mud wasp, cutworm wasp, thread-waisted wasp, mason wasp, potter wasp, and pollen wasp. Obviously this is not a complete list - just scratching the surface really - but it does demonstrate that California has plenty of wasps.
Syrian hamsters because they are easier to handle.
It is simple. Go to the store and buy your pet some food. If you have a pet like a cat or a dog, pet needs can be found at PetSmart. If you have a pet wasp, they like to be hand fed bread crumbs. If someone is bullying your pet, stand firm above them and say: "dont mess with my pet''. If they say no, call 911. The person who harassed your pet will be thrown in jail and charged with a bill of 500 dollars.

Handle it. You may get a few scratches but if you do not handle it due to fear it will only get worse.
