In a way, everyone "killed" Jesus because He died for our sins (Willingly though). No, Catholics didn't really kill Jesus physically, the people that killed Jesus were the people living in Jerusalem specifically the Jewish priests at the time. The people and leaders wanted Jesus dead and the Roman soldiers killed Him. We're called Roman Catholics because our Church took shape mainly around Rome and uses the Roman rite (Latin Rite). The term Roman Catholic doesn't have anything to do with Roman people at the time of Jesus.
We should not hate Jews or Romans etc. since Jesus loves everybody and everyone (including Catholics) have taken part in killing Jesus through our sins.
