Yes, as long as he is registered as a player. This used to be quite common in the 80's and 90's where a player/manager was often seen, not so much nowadays.
Some times you will hear of smaller teams registering their coaching staff as players because they are short of players due to injury. Goalkeeping coaches are often registered as players because most clubs have three keepers, and if two are injured it can be tricky.
