You could but it would be very risky. I have seen games where both quarterbacks were injured and the team had to use a running back to finish the game (Washington/Philadelphia, 1990 ... the 'body bag' game). I can't say that I know every player on every NFL roster but I can't imagine there is a team that carries less than three quarterbacks on their 53 man roster.

How QBs on a NFL football team?

There can only be 3 active quarterbacks on an NFL team for each game!!! However the third quaterbacl - cannot play unless the other two are injured during the game. USUALLY - a team will have 2 active quarterbacks for every game - but if either are hurting - they will have a third quarterback - brought up from the practice squad. If they need more - their problem IS NOT the quarterback - it is the offensive line.

How many are on the field for a football team?

For each team there are 11 players on the field for every play. Teams are allowed to field less, and if they do so they won't be penalized. This usually doesn't result in an outcome they desire though and most would recommend against it. They're not allowed to field more, however. 11 players from each team is the count that is supposed to be present for every play.
