Yes, most good MMA fighters either wrestled in high school or college or both before they start MMA. It is not a requirement, but I would HIGHLY recommend Wrestling because it is a good way to start and teaches you basic take downs and teaches you how to control your opponent, which can be very helpful in MMA.
