Can someone take jazz dance classes without taking ballet and still be good at it?
well , yeah ! I mean y not? some of my friends do jazz w/ no ballet classes and still do well at it . They mostly learn same as ballet but w/ a beat . Ballet is more slow than jazz , but ballet build up more strength than jazz much differently!! But both dances are really fun to do .. from dez zillmer

well ballet is more like more slower then jazz well, i dont know alot about ballet but i know about jazz i take jazz and you do more fast moves then ballet plus the musc is faster and the dance moves are quicker and less complicated.Ballet i tried it and it was hard for me because you should start off at a early age and they are very difficult moves while jazz anyone could learn easily.
Are you suitable for being a dancer even though you do not do ballet dancing?
no... well..... there are jazz dancers and tap dancers but if you want to be good take ballet.

Ballet is an extremely hard business to get into, because there are very limited spaces. Jazz, on the other hand, is more popular in the sense that more people do it. There are a lot more jobs available for good jazz dancers as opposed to ballet dancers. However, with jazz being more polar, it is harder to get a job with. So overall, I'd say jazz is more popular seeing as more people do it, mostly because it is more commercial and modern.
Should you take Jazz or hip hop dance?
Jazz and hip hop are two completely different dances. Hip hop is more if you like being freestyle and making sharp moves, and hip hop costumes are sweats and a sweater or a t-shirt etc. Jazz dance requires precision. You must point toes and do split leaps etc. Jazz and ballet go together. If you take ballet, it will improve the way you do in any other dance. Jazz is an upbeat and fun version of ballet.

But jazz is bigger and faster.but it kind of depends as well because i take ballet and jazz but i find jazz a bit harder i think it's because you have got to relax completely when taking jazz.

It depends on what type of dance and where you dance but here are some answers! Ballet: Pink tights-Pink Canvas Ballet shoes-Leotard-Pointe Shoes* Jazz: Jazz shoes- any tshirt- shorts (soffee is the best!)- Pink Tights (depends) Hip Hop: Same as jazz but it all depends on the studio! I think the funnest type of dance is jazz. I also take hip hop and ballet so it is like a mix between the two, which is really cool. Jazz is fun if you like to do kicks and combinations across the floor. Overall i think jazz dance is the funnest.
