Well this is kind of an amateur somewhat childish method but it does work! Just wear some thin-ish winter gloves underneath the hockey gloves.

Can you wear lacrosse gloves in hockey?

You can use girls lacrosse gloves as field hockey gloves, they are actually great to be used for outdoor field hockey. In indoor field hockey I would not recommend using them though, because they do not provide enough padding. In indoor you have to get low to the point where your hand is almost on the ground, leaving it exposed, also the ball moves much faster so getting hit does hurt more, so you want well padded gloves for indoor. There are indoor field hockey gloves made, normally they are made for the left hand only but you may want to get another one to protect the right hand as well.

Are padded hockey undershirts useful for ice hockey?

What must you use to make contact with the ball in hockey?

depending if you mean field or ice hockey or even street hockey depends if you are versing a ball or a puck but i will assume you mean field. A hockey stick, shin guards and the keepers gloves are all the objets allowed to legally make contact with the ball. naturally the ball will fly up a bit and hit bodies/head but actively if is just these and really should only be the stick.

Why do hockey goalkeepers wear gloves?

The ball (or puck) can be easily hit/flicked at up to and above 150 kilometres per hour. Having such an object hit at that speed is enough to break bones and destroy tissue, so the gloves provide enough protection to make saving those shots possible. The gloves also increase the size of the stopping/deflecting area, and make it a bit easier to do as well.

How do you know when its time to get new hockey gloves?

you know when its time when your hands start to hurt when you put them on your hands. If there is a huge hole in the golves, or if you think you need new ones Another solution to the palms being ripped up is getting repalmed. take your gloves to a sporting goods store and they will make them feel practically new for a fraction of the price.
