same as everyone else...
they celebrate Christmas but not in a religious way.
Of course other people can celebrate christmas. Christmas is a tradition, and it is more and more celebrated by christians and atheists alike. Christmas has become much more of a family thing as opposed to a religious thing.
I don't think it's just atheists who feel this - some people of all kind of beliefs and philosophies feel that marriage is not for them.
Atheists feel the same about their friends as everyone else. They feel the same as Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, artists, musicians, firefighters, mail carriers, people who like chocolate chip cookies and people who like the color blue do about their friends.
on Christmas day i feel joy and happiness, exited, I feel the light of Christ in side me
No. Mostly groups who feel threatened by the meer presence of an Atheist do.
Out of respect and conformity. Most Atheists don't try to convert people into atheists - they just want to be respected and for the world to know that they exist and shouldn't be disrespected. To show respect for others' holiday, we say Merry Christmas and truly wish people who do celebrate it have a joyous day of Dec. 25th.
Personally I don't think there is a particular point to Christmas decorations, simply to make everyone feel more in the "Christmas spirit" and feel a lot happier :)
Atheists don't hate God; they simply don't think that God exists. This does not mean they hate God anymore than not believing in the tooth fairy makes you hate the tooth fairy.
Since the only factor of being an Atheist is the rejection of god claims, the answer veries by individual. But, the majority concensus of atheists are very positive about humanity and worry religion is impeding human welfare and thirst for factual knowledge
I know how they feel. I work EMS and I have to work on Christmas day, Even as a Christian, . Merry Christmas
