You just go to the school that you want to ref. for, and you have to fill out a thing to become one. Technically, you usually just volunteer to be a ref. unless your one for college basketball.

It signals a change in possession of the ball.
The referees in an NFL game have a very difficult job in calling the game they are assigned to. The highest paid among the referees is unknown.

REF protection, when installed and set correctly, will protect everything within the CT's. If the CTs are on breakers, then yes, the cables from the transformer to the breakers will be in the zone of protection. If the CTs used are in the bushings of the transformer, then no.
You can begin to pea-we ref at the age of 12. But you can also ref at twelve for competive. At least in Northern Colorado you can. In MN you can become one at PSA at age 11. i know someone. in oxnard CA in AYSO you have to be a minimum of 12 but if ur 11 they will accept it because we hardly have any refs (im 11 and im a ref so i would no) buts thts only for U10 in U12 U14 U16 and so on you have to be older.

There is a video ref used in Rugby League. In the NRL in Australia and New Zealand, there's one at every game whereas in Europe, there is one at the televised matches, though not at the others. The video ref was first used to adjudicate, where called for by the on-field referee, on tries only, but his remit has been widened. If the on-field ref has missed some foul play, the video ref can draw it to his attention and 40/20 kicks can be referred (that's when a player kicks from inside his own 40-metre zone and the ball bounces in the field of play before going out in the opposition's 20-metre zone. That results in a scrum to the kicking team).
