When reopening a pool can you just drop the tarp into the water and then lift up the tarp insted of draining the pool water and then lifting off the tarp?
If you are referring to the water on top of the cover, it is best to drain it first and then remove the pool cover starting from one end. This way you don't have to contend with a complete mess in the pool water.
How can you keep your tarp on the pool it keeps falling in the pool?
Tie bricks onto the tarp or water filled bottles, make sure you pure enough and space them far enough away so they dont collapse in

The pool, filter, and pump all need to be drained. If it is a soft sidered pool, it should be collapsed and covered with a tarp. If hardside pool, cover will a pool cover once drained down.
