Located on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois the stadium is named "Soldier Field" as a memorial to fallen American soldiers. Originally built in the mid 1920's it was based on Greco-Roman design but was remodled due to an increase in population and structural codes.
Soldier Field was built in 1924, and was originally named Municipal Grant Park Stadium. The name was changed to Soldier Field to honor those who had fought in World War I. In 2003, the stadium re-opened after a major renovation.
Ebbets Field was named after Charlie Ebbets. He was the owner of Washington Park and decided to build a new stadium so they named it Ebbets Field.
The Field Museum is named for Marshall Field. It is located where it is to take advantage of the close proximity to Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium.
Nephew of Marshall Field, as in the iconic Chicago retailer. The Board of Trustees of the Museum named the hall in in honor of Stanley Field, who served as President and Chairman of the Board from 1909-1964.

The City of Detroit renamed Lincoln Avenue after Moses W. Field who built his estate house there in 1859. The house still stands. Field was a major supporter of Abraham Lincoln and honored Lincoln by naming his farm's access road after the president. Agnes Street, which crosses the modern Field Avenue was named for Mr. Field's daughter and Kercheval was named for his wife Mary Kercheval. Edmund and Alfred Streets in Brush Park were named for two of his sons.
