Aquatic animals, such as, 'Krill, Fish and Squid'.
Antarctic coast.
Crabeater seals are called crabeater seals because of the way their teeth look.
A crabeater seal is a slender, gray Antarctic seal that mainly feeds on krill. It is not considered as an endangered species, although commercial seal hunting is banned in the Antarctic region.

Crabeater seals have 32 teeth - 8 inscisors, 4 canines and 20 post-canine teeth. The latter cannot be subdivided into molars and premolars due to the specialised nature of the crabeater's teeth. They are multi-cusped with gaps between each cusp and they interlock with the teeth on the opposing jaw to form a filter. This is used to filter out krill from the seawater - a more efficient method than grabbing the krill one at a time. Krill are their main prey; they do not eat crabs.
A Leopard Seals percentage of diet is: Krill (47%), Other Seals (31%), young Crabeater Seals and penguins (11%), and fish and cephalopods (11%)
Crabeater seals feeds mainly on Antarctic krill. Their mouths and teeth, along with the tight fit of their upper and lower jaws, provide them with near-perfect sieves within which krill are trapped before being swallowed. Although their name implies that they feed on crab, they do not.
The fish eat krill. No more krill means more fish hungry. hunger means potential death.
Craeater seals do not eat crabs, which are not found in their habitat. They live almost entirely on krill (tiny relations of shrimps). No one seems to know why they are called crabeater seals.
