It varies. If you are a couch potato and hate to work, you might it might be too late because of lack of exercise. If you exercise often then, no problem. But if you are in between try it. You might be able to do it.

16 may be a bit too old to become a professional, but if you want to dance for fun then, no 16 isnt to old!! Many people start even older than that. (Late 20+) You will have an atvantage because you're old enough to understand what your teacher will be teaching and you will be able to comprehend everything! If ballet is what you want to do then go for it!

well to do a course of royal academy of dance, you can start to learn before you start school (2-3 years old). i do RAD ballet at a normal local dance school and to start you don't have to know anything about ballet. BUT to get into the original school in London you have to qualify to be a professional, so YES in that case you do have to be very GOOD! =] hope this helped =]

No, 15 isn't too old to start/re-start but its more that it is easier when you have started ballet at a young age because your body is more attuned to the physical pressures of ballet. But if you have done ballet it shouldn't be too bad and at least you'll have some sort of idea of what you are doing! :D

So, overall, if you want a chance to becoming a professional dancer (assuming everything else works out), you should probably start at the latest age of 8. Some others may say earlier or later. Ballet academies will have different opinions, but it is never too late to start dancing simply for the joy of it! :)

well with ballet you should start before you 20. And boys are put off by tutus and things like that when they are young. So by the time they are 20 and realise that ballet is not JUST for girls then they willl consider it. But they probably won't become a pro since they are quite old. BUt they might!
