Youtube is a great resource for skateboard tricks as so many people film themselves doing them and post these videos there. In the description for many of the videos there is extensive information about how they have performed the tricks.
Should you get a bmx or a skateboard?
If you actually want to go somewhere besides the skate park or your neighborhood, go with a BMX-style bike. You can go farther while doing some tricks here and there, not to mention they're probably faster. If you want to do some major tricks, though, go with a skateboard.
