yes and np, it does not matter on the sides to measure an angle. For example one side could be 10 metres ans the other could be 5 metres, however the angle would stay the same no matter how long you make the sides.

Why hypoteneous is longest among base and perpendicular?

In any triangle, the shortest side is opposite the smallest angle, and the longest side is opposite the largest angle. In a right triangle, the right angle has to be the largest angle, so the side opposite the right angle is the longest side. The side opposite the right angle is the hypotenuse.

What is the opposite side in a right triangle?

The opposite side of any angle in a triangle is the side that is not part of the angle. The side opposite the right angle is the longest side, called the hypotenuse.

What is the adjacent and opposite sides of a right triangle?

For any angle in the triangle that is not a right angle, the opposite side is the side does not touch the angle and the adjacent side touches it and is perpendicular to the opposite side. The third side is the longest side and is the hypotenuse

In a right triangle the sine of any angle is?

The longest side of the right angles triangle is called the hypotenuse. Divide the length of the side opposite the chosen angle by the length of the hypotenuse. This is the Sine of the angle.

What are the legs and the hypotenuse of any right triangle?

The hypotenuse is the longest side of any right triangle, and the legs are the two legs coming out from where the right angle is.

In any triangle the greater angle lies opposite the greater?

Any triangle has its largest angle opposite the longest side, and the smallest angle opposite the shortest side.

In a Obtuse angled triangle what angle is opposite the longer side?

It is a characteristic of any triangle that the longest side is opposite the largest angle and the shortest side is opposite the smallest angle.

What is the true about the lengths of the sides of any 30 - 60- 90 right triangle?

The side opposite the 30° angle is shortest, the side opposite the 60° angle is in the middle (length wíse) and the hypotenuse is the longest. The shortest side is half the length of the hypotenuse.

Why hypotenuse more than other two sides?

We don't think about this very often, but it turns out that in any triangle, the order of the angles by length is the same as the order of the sides opposite them by length. What I mean is: -- the shortest side is opposite the smallest angle -- the medium side is opposite the medium angle -- the longest side is opposite the largest angle In a right triangle, the right angle has to be the largest angle(**). So the side opposite it ... called the hypotenuse ... has to be the longest side. ============================================================ (**) Here's why the right angle has to be the largest angle: In any triangle, the inside angles all add up to 180 degrees. In a right triangle, one of the angles is 90 degrees. That leaves only another 90 degrees to split up between the other two angles, so both of them must be less than 90 degrees.

How do you find the angle measurements of a triangle if you have all the side lengths- which SOH CAH TOA do i use?

with all the sides, you could use any, use SOH :( sin of angle = opposite / hypotonuse)assuming its a right angle triangle, then select either of the (non right angle) angles, divide the length of the side opposite this angle by the length of the hypotonuse ( longest side, opposite the right angle), then find the inverse SIN of this number on your calculator, this is the angle. Since total internal angles always = 180 degrees, and right angle = 90 degrees then final angle is calculated angle subtracted from 90 degrees.

What is a pythogoreon theorem and when is it useful?

a2+b2= c2where c is the hypotenuse or the longest side (side opposite the right angle or the side oppositeTo 90 degrees); a and b are other sides of the triangle. Its useful when you need to find the length of any one side of a right angled traingle.

What are the meaning of hypotenuse side of right triangle?

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is the side opposite the right angle. It's also the longest side of any right triangle.
