I'm not like a professional but I'm pretty sure water is a whole lot softer than packed snow.
Skiing is def. easier than snowboarding!
I think that it just depends where you are. In Colorado, I can almost guarantee that snow skiing is more popular than water skiing. If you are on the coasts or have a large mass of water in your state, and no mountains, then water skiing will be more popular than snow skiing.
turns require higher skills than snow skiing
Colorado because it has more snow than Louisiana.
Polyester is water resistant. It is better than other materials (like nylon). I have worn pants with polyester on the outside for skiing and is very good for the snow. Make sure to wear layers if u go skiing. :)
Well, ice is lumpy and harder than snow. Snow is softer and easier to pick up.
you can go skiing and it helps tourist attraction. As snow melts off in the spring it adds back to underground aquifers more effectively than rain does. Underground aquifers are what supply water to farmers for irrigation.
Very many. Much more than you think. You can go skiing in every country in Europe, you can go skiing in Asia and even in Africa. You just need snow, which can be artificially made if the weather is cold enough.
'Snow hardener' does exactly what it says: It hardens snow. Well really, it makes snow more compact. When you are skiing, you dont want soft snow otherwise that will stop your skis by swamping them, and causing lots of friction. What you want is compact snow, so that your skis can go on top of the snow rather than sink in. Snow hardener is just a catalyst for making the snow more compact so that people skiing can ski on the slopes.
The density of snow is lower than the density of water.
