Kansas does not have a professional sports team. They have four college teams (Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Pittsburg State Gorillas and the Tabor College Bluejays).
There is no "college for California" per se, as tournament teams are not selected by state. In 2013, California was represented in the tournament by California, San Diego State and UCLA.

Well my school has a softball team. But i guess it mainly depends on where you live and how popular the sport is. In California softball is pretty popular and most high schools out here have teams.

The popular sport in Kentucky is probably College Basketball and/or College Football. This is because teams like Kentucky and Louisville are great at both of these sports. Also, the Kentucky Derby runs on the first Saturday, every May.
