First of all it would depend on what your measure of "big" is, and if you are male or female. The average female areola is between 3.5 cm and 4 cm in diameter (across), but can range all the way up to 10 cm in diameter, while the average male areola is around 2.5 cm in diameter. All it "means" if you have larger than average areola is just that - they are larger than average.
